VulnerabilityCVE-2024-37032

Ollama model-digest path traversal

Ollama before 0.1.34 failed to validate model digests before constructing file paths. Wiz demonstrated arbitrary file read and overwrite, leading to code execution in its tested Docker deployment; it did not establish a criminal exploitation campaign.

What to do

Update Ollama to a current release containing the 0.1.34 correction. Do not expose its API to untrusted networks without protective authentication and network controls, as recommended by Wiz.

About this data

This record was assembled editorially. Editorial review: Oct 26, 2026. Editorial selection does not make a reported claim independently confirmed.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.

A personal reading checklist on this device, not verified remediation.
