VulnerabilityCVE-2025-30165

vLLM V0 multi-node pickle deserialization

vLLM's V0 engine deserializes ZeroMQ messages with pickle in cross-host tensor-parallel deployments. A compromised primary host or a redirected connection can deliver code-executing data to secondary hosts; the V1 engine is unaffected.

What to do

Use the unaffected V1 engine where applicable and restrict multi-node communications to a secure network. Consult the maintainer advisory for version guidance; changing model-weight formats does not establish a fix for this IPC vulnerability.

AI involvement

Confirmed by the linked source

AI system flawed or attacked

The affected software serves large language models. The source does not establish attacker AI use or exploitation in a deployed criminal campaign.

A vulnerability in an AI product does not establish that an attacker used AI.

About this data

This record was assembled editorially. Editorial review: Oct 26, 2026. Editorial selection does not make a reported claim independently confirmed.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.
