What to do

Apply SAP's applicable security corrections and consult the combined Onapsis guidance for Notes 3594142 and 3604119. Assess compromise and persistence; updating software does not remove an already installed web shell.

CISA's required action: Apply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.

What happened

The issue is specific to the Visual Composer component, not every SAP installation. Onapsis's combined investigation also describes the distinct deserialization CVE-2025-42999 and advises applying SAP Security Note 3604119 in addition to the initial CVE-2025-31324 correction.

About this data

This record was assembled editorially. Editorial review: Oct 26, 2026. Editorial selection does not make a reported claim independently confirmed.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.

A personal reading checklist on this device, not verified remediation.
