What happened

The authentication middleware of the JTL-Shop administration backend processes the plugin safe mode toggle on the admin logout route before checking whether the requesting user is authenticated.

An unauthenticated remote attacker can therefore switch the shop's plugin safe mode on and off, which deactivates all installed plugins and their functionality, such as payment and shipping integrations, resulting in a shop-wide denial of service. The attack requires a single request and can be automated against many installations.

About this data

This record was ingested from a data source. Retrieved: Oct 27, 2026, 01:40 UTC. Ingestion is not an independent editorial investigation.

NVD status: Deferred. Publication in the NVD is not evidence of exploitation.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.
