What happened

The MxChat – AI Chatbot & Content Generation for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site Scripting via the 'feedback' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.2.25 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping.

This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The stored payload is written by any unauthenticated visitor via a single POST to admin-ajax.php and detonates automatically when any administrator next loads the Transcripts page.

About this data

This record was ingested from a data source. Retrieved: Oct 28, 2026, 08:20 UTC. Ingestion is not an independent editorial investigation.

NVD status: Received. Publication in the NVD is not evidence of exploitation.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.
