What happened

ChurchCRM is an open-source church management system. Prior to 6.5.3, a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (Stored XSS) vulnerability in the admin panel’s group-creation feature allows any user with group-creation privileges to inject malicious JavaScript that executes automatically when an administrator views the page.

This enables attackers to steal the administrator’s session cookies, potentially leading to full administrative account takeover. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.5.3.

NVD status: Analyzed. Publication in the NVD is not evidence of exploitation.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.
