What happened

Pulpy is a lightweight, cross-platform desktop application packager for web apps. Prior to 0.1.1, Pulpy injects a pulpy.fs JavaScript API into every packaged web application, giving it access to the host filesystem. A validateFsPath() function is supposed to sandbox this access, but its blocklist is incomplete.

Any web app packaged with Pulpy can read and write arbitrary files in the user's home directory — including ~/.ssh/id_rsa, ~/.aws/credentials, and ~/Library/Keychains/. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.1.1.

About this data

This record was ingested from a data source. Retrieved: Oct 28, 2026, 08:06 UTC. Ingestion is not an independent editorial investigation.

NVD status: Deferred. Publication in the NVD is not evidence of exploitation.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.

A personal reading checklist on this device, not verified remediation.
