Terms of use
Last updated: October 28, 2026
These terms cover your use of kevwire.com, its feeds (RSS, JSON, CSV), its API and its MCP server (together, "KEVWire"). KEVWire is run by Blake Elliot, Inc., a Florida corporation, 335 E Linton Blvd, Suite B14 #2074, Delray Beach, FL 33483 ("we"). By using KEVWire you agree to these terms.
What KEVWire is, and isn't
KEVWire is a free reading desk that collects public security information (CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, the NVD, GitHub advisories, national CERTs, breach data, vendor posts and news reports), ranks it, and links every item to its sources.
It is not a vulnerability scanner, an asset inventory, or professional security advice. A record matching "your stack" is a possible match by technology label, not proof that you are affected. The absence of a record does not mean you are safe. Severity scores (CVSS) and exploitation probabilities (EPSS) come from third parties and are estimates. Always check the linked primary sources and your own systems before acting.
No warranty
KEVWire is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Sources can be late, wrong, withdrawn or unavailable, and KEVWire can be too.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Blake Elliot, Inc. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of KEVWire or reliance on its information. Our total liability for any claim relating to KEVWire is limited to USD 100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Acceptable use
You may use KEVWire for personal, research, journalistic and commercial purposes, including inside your own tools and AI agents. Please:
- keep automated access reasonable: a few requests per second at most, and cache responses (sources update every 5 minutes at most);
- don't try to disrupt, overload or break into KEVWire, or get around its rate limits or security controls;
- don't use the suggestion form for spam, advertising or abuse;
- don't present KEVWire's information as your own original research, or suggest that KEVWire endorses you.
We may block access that harms the service or other users.
Using KEVWire's data
KEVWire combines data from many sources, and each source's own terms apply to its content:
| Source | Terms |
|---|---|
| CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities | US government work, public domain |
| NVD (National Vulnerability Database) | Public domain. This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD. |
| CVE Program records | CVE Terms of Use |
| FIRST EPSS | Free to use; cite FIRST as the source (EPSS) |
| GitHub Advisory Database | CC BY 4.0 |
| Have I Been Pwned breach data | CC BY 4.0 |
| News reports, vendor and company posts | Owned by their publishers. KEVWire shows only a short quote and a link; read and cite the original. |
| AI Incident Database | Its own terms |
KEVWire's own contributions (rankings, groupings, technology labels, classifications, structured fields and the site's original text) are licensed under CC BY 4.0. Credit "KEVWire (kevwire.com)" and link to the record. Every record page offers ready-made citations.
Free service and premium
KEVWire is free. We may later offer paid features (such as alerts) under additional terms that you would accept before paying. Joining the premium waitlist commits you to nothing.
Accounts
Accounts are optional and use passkeys. You're responsible for the devices that hold your passkeys. You can delete your account at any time (see the privacy policy). We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
Suggestions
If you send a suggestion or correction, you let us use it to improve KEVWire without paying you or crediting you, unless you ask to be credited.
Changes and ending
We may change or stop KEVWire, or change these terms, at any time. We'll update the date above, and continued use means you accept the changes.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida.
