VulnerabilityCVE-2026-116130

HTTP::Parser::XS versions before 0.18 for Perl truncate PATH_INFO at an encoded NUL byte in parse_http_request.

HTTP::Parser::XS versions before 0.18 for Perl truncate PATH_INFO at an encoded NUL byte in parse_http_request. The XS parser URL-decodes the request path and measures the result with strlen(), so PATH_INFO ends at the first byte decoded from %00. The pure-Perl backend is not affected.

What happened

HTTP::Parser::XS versions before 0.18 for Perl truncate PATH_INFO at an encoded NUL byte in parse_http_request.

The XS parser URL-decodes the request path and measures the result with strlen(), so PATH_INFO ends at the first byte decoded from %00. The pure-Perl backend is not affected.

A remote attacker can send a path that a proxy or filter checks in full while the application routes on a shorter one.

About this data

This record was ingested from a data source. Retrieved: Nov 6, 2026, 19:36 UTC. Ingestion is not an independent editorial investigation.

NVD status: Deferred. Publication in the NVD is not evidence of exploitation.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.

A personal reading checklist on this device, not verified remediation.
