What happened

DataGerry before 3.3.0 contains a server-side template injection vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers with base.docapi.template.add permission to store arbitrary Jinja2 payloads in the template_data field via POST /rest/docapi/template, which is later rendered in a non-sandboxed Jinja2 environment when a user calls GET /rest/docapi/template/<id>/render/<object_id>.

Attackers can exploit the standard cycler.init.globals.os gadget chain to execute arbitrary operating system commands as the DataGerry web process user, confirmed as root in default Docker deployments, achieving remote code execution.

About this data

This record was ingested from a data source. Retrieved: Nov 4, 2026, 19:35 UTC. Ingestion is not an independent editorial investigation.

NVD status: Received. Publication in the NVD is not evidence of exploitation.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.

A personal reading checklist on this device, not verified remediation.
