What happened

Bold Reports Standalone Report Designer before 14.1.12 contains a missing filepath validation vulnerability in its database download feature that allows unauthenticated attackers to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem by supplying a crafted request.

Attackers can exploit this path traversal weakness to disclose sensitive server files, including authentication credentials, enabling full unauthorized access to the application. The vulnerability is specific to the DataHub module, which was introduced in Bold Reports 6.3. Therefore, versions prior to 6.3 are not affected.

About this data

This record was ingested from a data source. Retrieved: Oct 29, 2026, 22:30 UTC. Ingestion is not an independent editorial investigation.

NVD status: Analyzed. Publication in the NVD is not evidence of exploitation.

A CISA KEV listing documents known exploitation, not necessarily a zero-day; absence from the catalog does not prove a vulnerability has never been exploited.

Technology tags indicate possible relevance, not verified exposure. Confirm the affected product, version, and configuration against your own inventory; KEVWire does not scan your systems.
